Notion is a powerful tool that is becoming increasingly popular as a productivity app. One of the things that makes Notion so useful is its extensive set of keyboard shortcuts. In this blog post, I’ll go over the 25 most used Notion keyboard shortcuts so that you can boost your Notiontivity.

Mac

Basic

  • /: Open commands
  • :: Search and add an emoji
  • @: Mention a person, a page, a date, or add a reminder
  • space: summon Notion AI

Navigation

  • cmd + N: Create a new page (desktop only)
  • cmd + shift + L: Switch between light and dark modes
  • #: Heading 1
  • ##: Heading 2
  • ###: Heading 3

Text Formatting

  • cmd + B: Bold
  • cmd + I: Italic
  • cmd + U: Underline
  • cmd + shift + S: Strikethrough
  • cmd + shift + H: Apply last used highlight/text color to text

Blocks

  • cmd + D: Duplicate a block
  • cmd + shift + P: Move the block to another location
  • [[ or +: Link a page, create a new subpage, or add a new page in another location

Miscellaneous

  • /turnto+block_name: Transform your block into a new (selected) one
  • “ + space: Quote
  • > + space: Toggle
  • + + space: Bulleted list
  • 1. or a. or i.: Numbered list
  • []: Checkbox
  • — — (3 times -): Divider
  • cmd + shift + U: Go up one level in page hierarchy.
  • cmd + alt + T: Expand all toggles at once.
